Resumo

Atualmente, qualquer programa ou plano de gestão do património cultural seria negligente se não considerasse estratégias para avaliar o impacto das alterações climáticas no património cultural, adaptar os seus projetos a esses efeitos e melhorar a sustentabilidade das suas intervenções. Desde o início deste século, aceleraram-se os esforços para sistematizar avaliações que integrem tanto a exposição aos impactos climáticos como a vulnerabilidade do património cultural. O objetivo deste artigo é analisar o progresso dos projetos europeus que implementaram avaliações de risco e vulnerabilidade dos efeitos das alterações climáticas no património cultural através de casos de estudos de estações arqueológicas. A sua avaliação crítica determinará o estado atual da questão e permitir-nos-á estabelecer linhas de ação para uma adaptação eficaz ao desafio colocado pelas alterações climáticas.
