Conservar Património, the scientific journal of ARP (full member of ECCO), is seeking for highly qualified and motivated researchers and professionals in the conservation-restoration field to join its Editorial team as Associate Editors.
The journal publishes peer‑reviewed research in the fields of conservation and restoration of cultural heritage, heritage science, materials and technologies, diagnostics, preventive conservation, ethics, and related interdisciplinary areas. We seek individuals committed to supporting rigorous scientific publishing and advancing knowledge in the conservation of cultural heritage.
Main responsibilities:
- Managing the peer‑review process for submitted manuscripts
- Selecting and inviting expert reviewers
- Providing editorial recommendations based on reviewer reports
- Ensuring compliance with ethical, scientific, and professional standards
- Contributing to the journal’s visibility within the international heritage community
Eligibility criteria:
- PhD or equivalent professional experience in conservation and restoration, heritage science, or related fields
- A strong and relevant publication record (preferred)
- Expertise in one or more of the journal’s thematic areas
- Previous editorial or peer‑review experience (preferred)
