Although the history of this building has already been approached by other authors, this is a theme that is worth to be developed from the point of view of the history of art and the history of the 19th century, both from the point of view of the analysis of the revivalist architecture of the building, either from the point of view of its integration into a Lisbon area that was then being planned, the Avenidas Novas. In addition, the relevance of this building should be emphasized, in particular since it has few contemporary parallels, both at national and international level; and also, because its construction with brick and iron was an element of modernity that must be underlined. Furthermore, this study is a contribution to the field of Olisipography, which is specialised study in Lisbon’s history.</p>}, journal={Conservar Património}, author={Henriques da Silva, Raquel and Elias, Margarida}, year={2021}, month={May}, pages={44–56} }
